Beschreibung
Zainab Sekyi is on a quest to find herself.

She's moving to New York City to pursue her lifelong dream, but New York isn't just about getting a job. She's also on a mission to go on a night out, to buy a whole bottle of wine (not just a glass) and - most importantly of all - to fall in love.

But as she grows accustomed to city life (with help from her stylish new roommate, Mary Grace, and oldest friend, Densua), Zainab starts hearing whispers in her head. Gradually, she realises that, though she's far from home, her ancestors are with her - and they've got something to say . . .

She can't tell anyone her secret. But could understanding her family's past hold the key to Zainab's future?

Praise for Ayesha Harruna Attah

'Uplifting . . . What an incredible story-teller!' Yaba Badoe, author of A Jigsaw of Fire and Stars

'This sweeping story is rich in detail, and the settings are vividly evoked' Kirkus Reviews
