The first novel from bestselling author Gervase Phinn, now in paperback. Elizabeth Devine moves from being the successful headteacher of an inner-city primary to running a small rural village school in the Yorkshire Dales. As with his Dales-set memoirs there's a warm cast of characters, in a tale that is moving, funny and romantic. First in a series set in the fictional village of Barton-in-the-Dale.
