As one of the most experienced experts in short-stem total hip arthroplasty in Germany, he has conducted and published many scientific studies, regularly gives lectures and provides education for colleagues and patients. He is a Professor for orthopaedics at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University of Mainz and is the founder and owner of the ENDOPROTHETICUM, a highly specialized arthroplasty center in Mainz, Germany.
