Shifting Perspectives on Intersectionality
journeys through U.S. history and contemporary society, applying intersectional lenses to topics as diverse as the massive resistance to school desegregation, the Black Power Movement, controlling images of Black womanhood, representations of mental illness and trauma, and drag performance. Illuminating systemic oppression, marginalization, and complex power structures, the essays in this volume highlight intersectionality's interdisciplinary adaptability and offer new perspectives
