Über den Autor
Jennifer Camiccia has lived in the wilds of Los Angeles, where she fell in love with all things Disney; Iran, where she developed a fear of camels and a fondness for pistachios; and Hawaii, where her imagination was cultivated by the wonderful teachers at Kilauea School. The rich storytelling of Hawaii--with its legends, songs, and hula dancing--all helped shape her as a writer. Paddling canoe, gymnastics, riding horses, and attempting to play tennis and failing miserably are all things she enjoyed growing up on the north shore of Kauai. She now lives in the San Francisco Bay area, where she still enjoys salt-kissed air and the rich storytelling of a city teeming with talented artists.
Zusammenfassung
Trends in online search continue to show strong interest in "books about horses for young girls."

Horse girls are ubiquitous in popular culture and media, including the likes of Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers and self-avowed horse girl Kylie Jenner.

The #horsegirl hashtag has over 691K posts on Instagram with strong engagement from markets in the United States, Canada, and Germany. With world rights from this original IP project, there are great opportunities for subrights sales.

Backlist titles featuring horse characters continue to sell well at other houses but these have not seen an update in terms of package in some time.

While there is a significant amount of new television and film featuring girls and horses, literature hasn't seen a revamp from many of the horse girl series published in the 90s and early 2000s with a focus on diversification of characters beyond traditional East Coast riding academy narratives.

In Spring of 2021, Horse Girl by Carrie Seim publishes along with an equestrian Mad Libs title by her sister, Lindsay Seim.
