Ludvig the Fourteenth is the fourteenth fox born to his proud parents. But Ludvig isn't like his cunning brothers and sisters. Instead of being a deceitful fox, Ludvig wishes to be kind. He has no desire to steal, lie, or cheat as foxes do. Instead, he's bound and determined to be an honest fox.

Or honest when he has to be - he'll only use his cunning to help others.

This timeless story is sure to be a hit in your home. Your children will love the story of a fox befriending a chicken named Tutta Karlsson and proving that no one must be what others expect them to be. Über den Autor
Jan-Olof Ekholm (1931-2020) is a Swedish author of over fifty titles, with his debut making an appearance in 1958. The first novel detailed the adventures of Ditt and Datt, a cat and dachshund living amongst their friends. After that, Ekholm penned a four-part series about a retired teacher fighting crime (Fröken Stål) before writing the much-loved "Hooray for Ludvig XIV". In 1968, he switched to whodunit stories, but children's books seemed to be his calling. Jan-Olof returned to writing children's books and easy reading for teens in the late '90s, inspired by his grandchildren. With his early children's books being re-released, he enjoyed a revival of the popularity of his titles. With an incredible ability to write characters navigating sticky, complex situations with grace and humor make his work a pleasure to read. Jan-Olof Ekholm's children's novels are par to none and still classics in many homes. Throughout the years, his titles have been translated into English, German, Russian, French, Norwegian, Danish and Polish.
