Everybody recognises the Grump, everybody knows a grump. And maybe there's a little grump in every one of us...
The Grump is a man from the past. A man who knows that everything used to be so much better in the old days.
When The Grump hurts his ankle after falling down his basement steps, he has to spend a weekend in Helsinki for physiotherapy. The Grump doesn't like this because it means taking a taxi, not being able to look after his wife, who has Alzheimer's, and having to spend time with his family.
The Grump's daughter-in-law, who lives and works in the city, isn't keen to spend time with The Grump either. Her boss has asked her to look after Russian businessmen and she's supposed to close a major deal over the weekend. It doesn't make her any happier when The Grump decides to 'help' with the deal.
Finally, The Grump has to face his useless son to become the father he never was, teaching him how to take care of his loved ones. Something The Grump has never been able to do.
The only thing that's for sure is that somebody's day will be ruined.
