Beschreibung

The sculptures in the Collection of Classical Antiquities - the Antikensammlung - in Berlinare among the chief attractions of the Museumsinsel. They can be admired in the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum, the Pergamonmuseum and in the interim building "Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama". Andreas Scholl, Director of the Antikensammlung, presents the masterpieces of the collection in this richly illustrated volume, and explains both their original context and their enduring appeal as works of art.

This volume is also available in German and Russian.
