The book illustrates the results from the field survey regarding Black-breasted leaf turtle (Geoemyda spengleri) and noted some information on co-occurrence chelonian species in Tay Yen Tu Nature reserve, Vietnam. The authors also introduce the standard interview and field survey method to collect the needed information on species ecology, threats and population status in order to give conservation recommendations to the management authority. The book also briefly introduce the information on chelonian research and conservation within Vietnam.

Über den Autor
Pham Van Thong is the field biologist for almost 10 years in the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot. His focus is tortoise and freshwater turtle (TFT) unique taxa of reptiles. Thong has played an important role in the conservation projects to protect TFT in the region (i. e. Rafetus swinhoei, Cuora zhoui, Cuora ssp., Geoemyda spangleri).
