Beschreibung
''No one should force themselves into a costume that is way too tight. No one should have to change themselves only to be accepted.''

***

Being human means being born in, raised by and living in a society. Society has rules and values it expects you to follow and live by.
And there are always those who are different. Those who don't fit in. The black sheep.

This book is a collection of short stories about the society we live in. It's about the so-called outcasts, the misfits and the loners. Because they are society as well. Maybe even more than those that fit in.

Über den Autor
I'm 18 years-old and currently doing my A-levels. I'm writing mostly in English at the moment even though my native language is German.

Writing has been a part of my life since my childhood. I've always loved the way words can be put together endlessly to create something entirely new. Because words are not just words. They are so incredibly beautiful. They have the power to create different worlds, people, a different society. They can be used to escape, to express or in an attempt to convey a message. I have used words to do all of the above. And I hope that I'll be able to use writing in the future to maybe spread some of the hope reading has given me.

With my book ''About the Black Sheep'' written for the ysa23 I want to point out some of the problems in our society. We as humans choose to criticize and exclude others even though it's especially them that colour our world.
